Objective
The goal of this class project was to redesign the Spotify iPhone application based on contextual inquiry, and then perform user evaluation using a low-fidelity, paper-based prototype.
Role
As a student in the class, I was responsible for identifying which application I wanted to remodel and then executing the project deliverables.
Results
I updated the Spotify app to make sections such as the Library and Artists Profiles more user friendly, and the updates were well recieved in user evaluation.
Reflection
Taking this course in human-computer interaction showed me the importance of considering the people that are going to be using the technology I design, and equipped me with the skills to effectively integrate user feedback into my designs going forward.
