Volunteering
I am active in FIRST Robotics, the organization that fueled my passion for STEM, as a volunteer Emcee and Game Announcer. In high school, I noticed men predominated in these “center-stage” roles at competitions, and I wanted to help combat this imbalance. At competitions, I wear a blue tutu on my waist, a yellow bow in my hair, and sparkling eyeshadow to show young women they can be both feminine and be taken seriously in STEM. In addition, I have recently joined the Lobstah Bots, Team 246, as a volunteer mentor.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)
I volunteer at in-season and offseason events for FRC across the New England and Mid-Atlantic Districts.
